Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how lessmint. handles personal data when you visit lessmint.com, send us an enquiry or email us. We have tried to keep it short and specific: it describes what actually happens, not what might happen in theory.
Who is responsible for your data
lessmint. is a registered trade name of Marina Sedlecka, who runs a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) in Arnhem, the Netherlands, under number 90173481.
Marina Sedlecka is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For anything related to your data, email hello@lessmint.com.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form asks for:
- your name
- your email address
- your business name (optional)
- the automation or service you are interested in
- the tools you currently use (optional)
- your message
The form also contains a hidden field that people don't see. It helps us filter out automated spam and is not used to identify you. Before you can send the form, you confirm that you have read this policy. That confirmation is checked in your browser and is not stored with your enquiry.
Please don't include passwords, API keys or other login details in the form. We never ask for them that way.
When you email us
If you email hello@lessmint.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include, such as attachments or an email signature.
When you visit the website
Like any website, lessmint.com is delivered through servers that receive technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is handled by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. We don't use this information to identify you, and we don't use analytics or advertising tools on the website.
If you become a client
If we continue the conversation, for example through a questionnaire or a call, or you become a client, we process the information you share with us for that purpose. This can include contact details, information about your business processes and, for clients, the details needed for proposals, agreements and invoices.
Why we use your data, and on what legal basis
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we need a legal basis for each way we use personal data. We use:
- Answering your enquiry or email and discussing a possible project. We do this because you asked us to, as a step before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Where you contact us on behalf of a business, we also rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping a record of enquiries for a limited time, so we can follow up, answer questions about an earlier conversation and avoid asking you for the same information twice. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Delivering an agreed project, including communication, proposals, agreements and invoices. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Meeting legal obligations, such as keeping financial records for Dutch tax purposes. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Keeping the website and enquiry form working and secure, including filtering spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
We don't use your data for marketing, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
How the enquiry form works
When you click "Send my enquiry", your browser sends the form details to our website. A small program on our website host, Cloudflare, passes them on to a Google Apps Script that runs in our Google Workspace account. The script saves your enquiry as a row in a Google Sheet and sends a notification about it to our business mailbox, hello@lessmint.com, in Gmail. The website only shows "Thanks. Your enquiry is on its way." once the script has confirmed that your enquiry was saved.
If that relay on our website is temporarily unavailable, your browser may send the same details directly to Google Apps Script instead. The result is the same: the enquiry is saved in our Google Sheet.
The relay on our website doesn't keep a copy of your enquiry. To prevent accidental duplicate submissions, your browser keeps a temporary copy of an enquiry that was sent successfully, in its session storage. This copy stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is removed when you close the browser tab.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) hosts the website (Cloudflare Pages), runs the relay that passes enquiries on to Google and manages the domain name lessmint.com.
- Google provides our business email and office tools through Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Apps Script. Enquiries are stored in a Google Sheet, and enquiry notifications and emails sent to hello@lessmint.com are kept in our Gmail mailbox. As a Google Workspace customer, we use Google as a service provider that processes this data on our behalf under the Google Workspace data processing terms. Google's affiliates, including Google LLC in the United States, may also be involved in processing the data.
Cloudflare and Google process this data under their own terms. We don't share your data with anyone else, unless we are legally required to.
International transfers
Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC are based in the United States, and both operate globally. This means your personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers take place on the basis of the safeguards that these providers use, as set out in their own terms. These include the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for organisations certified under it, and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that don't lead to a project (the Google Sheet row and related emails): up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact with you. We review and delete these records manually.
- Client records: for as long as needed for the agreement and our relationship, and longer where the law requires it. For example, Dutch tax rules generally require businesses to keep financial records, such as invoices, for seven years. Retention periods for clients may also follow from the agreement itself.
- Technical website data handled by Cloudflare: according to Cloudflare's own retention practices. We don't keep separate copies.
Deleting data from our Google Sheet or Gmail removes it from our records. Google and Cloudflare may keep backup copies for a limited period under their own deletion processes.
Cookies and analytics
The lessmint. website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking. The fonts are hosted on our own website, so loading a page doesn't send your data to a font provider. The only data stored in your browser is the temporary session copy described under "How the enquiry form works".
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- ask which personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy (access)
- have incorrect data corrected (rectification)
- have your data deleted (erasure)
- ask us to limit how we use your data (restriction)
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest (objection)
- receive data you gave us in a commonly used, machine-readable format (portability)
To use any of these rights, email hello@lessmint.com. We will respond within one month. If a request is complex, this can be extended by up to two further months, and we will tell you if that happens. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Some rights have limits: for example, we can't delete records that we are legally required to keep.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at hello@lessmint.com, so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or with the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Security
The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The enquiry form sends data over encrypted connections to Cloudflare and Google, and enquiries are stored in our Google Workspace account rather than on the website itself.
When we work on your systems
When we set up an automation for a client, we may need access to the client's own accounts and the personal data in them. In that situation, the client decides what happens with that data, and we process it on the client's behalf. The arrangements for this are agreed with each client.
Children
Our services are intended for businesses and are not aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top always shows when it was last updated.
